Coffee meet tech. Tech meet coffee.
Griffiths Bros Coffee Roasters want to bring the coffee and digital technology worlds closer together. We believe that better application of; and a greater willingness to embrace technology across the coffee industry can bring about positive sustainable change, in both the short and long term.
Coffee has a unique relationship with the digital tech world (it’s powered many an all nighter!) and brings a huge ‘playground’ of challenges that could benefit from new and disruptive thinking from minds outside of the industry. It’s time for some fresh eyes!
#hackoffeethon will be a coffee focused ideation, problem solving sprint – with participants forming teams to devise solutions, develop concepts and plans, and pitch their ideas to a panel of judges.
Who should attend?
If you’re involved or interested in coffee, digital tech or sustainability – we’d love to have you there!
Being Melbourne’s first coffee focused hackathon, we’d like to get a healthy balance of coffee and tech minds in the room. So we’re encouraging baristas, roasters, coders, designer/developers, students, technicians, marketers, researchers, sustainability thought leaders and general problem solving type people to come along and bring their knowledge, ideas, skill, experience and insights.
Team mentors are also most welcome to help guide the process and be a sounding board for #hackoffeethon teams.
We’re ridiculously excited to announce that Tesla will be giving the keynote address to kick off our hack! Make sure you get yourself along for what should be a great insight into one of the worlds leading tech co’s.
